Dare to Lead™ is the ultimate playbook for developing brave leaders and courageous cultures. Daring leadership is a collection of four courage skill sets that are 100% teachable. It’s learning and practice that requires brave work, tough conversations, and showing up with our whole hearts.

Based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown, the Dare to Lead™ program is an empirically based, courage-building program based on four skill sets that are teachable, measurable, and observable. This 2-day training workshop, led by Certified Dare to Lead™ Facilitator Michelle Myers, will equip participants with language, tools, and exercises to put these four skills into immediate practice. 

Rumbling with Vulnerability: face risk, uncertainty, and tough conversations with courage, clarity, and empathy.

Living into our Values: identify what you stand for and how to show up from a place of integrity every day.

BRAVING Trust: build meaningful and authentic connections with your teams, colleagues and customers so you can work together from a foundation of trust.

Learning to Rise: become aware of your emotions and stories and learn how to show up and lead with courage… even when faced with failure, disappointment, and setbacks.

Cancellation & Refund Policy: Full refunds for cancellations submitted prior to 14 days of the training start date. A $150 USD processing fee will be withheld for any cancellation made within 14 days of the training start date. Requests to transfer your registration to another participant must be made in writing no later than 7 days prior to your training start date.

Dr. Brené Brown has spent more than twenty years studying courage, vulnerability, shame, and empathy, and she recently completed a seven-year study on brave leadership. Leadership is not about titles or the corner office. It’s about the willingness to step up, put yourself out there, and lean into courage. In her latest book, Dare to Lead™, Brené interviewed over 150 global C-suite executives based on one question: what, if anything, about the way people are leading today needs to change in order for leaders to be successful in a complex, rapidly changing environment where we’re faced with seemingly intractable challenges and an insatiable demand for innovation.  The answer… we need braver leaders and more courageous cultures. It’s time for all of us to step up. The goal of the two-day Dare to Lead™ training program  is to share everything we’ve learned about taking off the armor and showing up as leaders in an increasingly complex world.

The greatest barrier to daring leadership is not fear; the greatest barrier is armor – how we self-protect when we feel uncertain. Over the course of this workshop, you'll learn the skills to move from armored leadership to daring leadership. Daring leaders are self-aware, know how to have hard conversations, hold themselves and others accountable, build trust, lead with empathy and connection, take smart risks that lead to innovation, reset quickly after disappointments and setbacks, and give and receive feedback – especially when it’s tough.

Michelle Myers, founder of Summit Leadership Coaching, is a Certified Dare to Lead™ Facilitator, Leadership Coach and Consultant.  Michelle brings over 23 years of leadership, business transformation and human resources experience to her clients, with her last corporate position as head of HR for a healthcare technology startup.  Over the past five years Michelle has been a solopreneur with a focus on serving corporate and entrepreneur clients along their organizational and leadership transformation journeys.
