I am a licensed clinical psychotherapist and psychoanalyst and have been in private practice in Westfield for 30 years. I am also a local person, having grown up in New Jersey and lived in this area all my life. My personal and professional journey started in Westfield and I am a proud graduate of Westfield High School. My educational experience continued in New Jersey and New York City, and I completed my post-graduate training in New Jersey as well. My personal life revolves around my wonderful husband, with whom I share two adult children, a black Labrador, an orange cat, and a garden. When I am not in my office, I enjoy long walks and yoga.
As well as being a licensed psychotherapist and psychoanalyst, I am also a certified couples counselor. My practice includes working with couples and individuals who may need help improving their communication skills and coping with specific adverse events they have encountered. Anxiety, depression, loss, grief, and frustration affect us all. Counseling helps and can bring relief for those suffering from the stress of life and more. I see clients in person in my office in Westfield and by Zoom when requested and appropriate. I treat adolescents and adults who suffer from anxiety and depression, among other conditions, and have for 30 years.
My practice draws on family systems and relational psychotherapy to support adolescents, young adults, and families dealing with mood disorders, anxiety, loss, and challenging life transitions. As a certified couples counselor, I also help partners identify unhelpful behaviors, break destructive cycles, and strengthen their bond. My therapeutic style is interactive and solution-focused, combining compassionate support with practical feedback to address personal challenges. By drawing on a range of methodologies and techniques, each client’s experience is tailored to encourage understanding, resilience, and meaningful growth. Ultimately, I’m here to help clients build on their strengths and reach the personal goals they’ve set for themselves.
I had been curious about the Co-Co as a business owner and started following on Instagram. A friend and colleague joined, and I saw she was presenting about mental health. I attended the program given by the health and wellness group and have been hooked ever since! The Co-Co has allowed me to connect with like-minded people as well as learn and share about topics that I am passionate about.
