What Did You Learn Today?
At last week's lunchtime conversation, Co-Co members and guests were invited into a welcoming, digital co-learning space. Passionate about women’s financial literacy and competency, Co-Co members Sheila Klehm, Susie McLane, Jessica Perrone, and Brynne Thompson shared their personal approaches to spending, saving, and investing.
Coming Home
2022 has been a whirlwind–starting with the anticipation of returning from parental leave. I began the year preparing–in every way I could think of–to set myself up for success as a mom of a baby, kindergartener, and third grader… and a business owner, a friend, partner, and a human being. I asked myself–“What would car pools look like? How would I prioritize among my many hopes for this business now in its fourth year? When would I work out? How would I set boundaries as an entrepreneur? Date night? Sleep?!” In full disclosure, there were spreadsheets involved, and walks with friends, and many conversations with my husband.
Stay the Course
The Co-Co Lunchtime Conversations are inviting co-learning spaces where you can achieve your goals by learning from and educating each other. At these gatherings, you’ll tap into a wealth of resources and expert advisers who have a knack for influencing your growth by sharing knowledge and skills that transcend lifestyle and industries.
Come In and See Us
Add a stop at The Co-Co and come up to see us on the 2nd floor of Mondo! Community members are encouraged to drop in for up to 2 hours, free of charge, and are welcome to enjoy our space for coffee with a friend, to cross items off your to-do list, take a meeting with a colleague, or - just say hi!
Cheers to you in this season of fresh beginnings
This week marks two years since The Co-Co sent a communication announcing that our space would close for co-working “through the remainder of March” due to COVID-19. Schools and workplaces around the globe did the same…and that expectation of a few weeks until we returned to “normal” expanded into more than two years.
“Well behaved women rarely make history.”
Every day at The Co-Co, we remember and honor the women who had come before us and paved the way for where we are today. During March, Team Co-Co will be sharing on Social Media a tribute to or a dream for a woman close to us. We hope to inspire you with their stories and dreams. We invite you to follow along and share your stories @thecoconj.
Member Spotlight: Meet Nadege Nicoll
I was born and raised in France, but left at 22 to explore the world. After a few years in Asia and Germany, I settled in England, where I met my husband. We moved to the US in 2007. In 2012, I started to write a book series for children, based on my experience trying to raise three kids (emphasize on trying). Somehow, this led me to deciding I wanted my own bookstore (?) Et voila! It all pretty much looks like a series of accidents, but here I am.
Spill the Tea: Home Edition
In 2020 and 2021, we upsized, downsized, and decluttered. We purchased heat lamps, ring lights, and bar carts. What’s in store for 2022? Last Thursday, Co-Co community experts from an array of interiors and real estate backgrounds shared their thoughts on renovation and design trends.
