From Our Team to You: Happy Holidays

How do you define a community? When we ask "Google," we can find this definition:

"A community is a group of people who share something in common. You can define a community by the shared attributes of the people in it and/or by the strength of the connections among them. You need a bunch of people who are alike in some way, who feel some sense of belonging or interpersonal connection."

When you are a member of The Co-Co community, you know that we thrive on connecting you with others who can help you grow in some way - personal or business. It is what motivates us to do better, make more things happen, and gives us a sense of belonging too.

The Co-Co isn't The Co-Co without each of you! Thank you for keeping this community active and for continuing to show up for yourself, and each other. May the holidays bring happiness and health to you and your families. And we wish everyone a prosperous new year. We can't wait to share with you what we have planned for 2023! It is safe to say my journey as a writer began when I was six years old and wrote the epic short story: The Bunny and His Eggs. My passion for writing and story telling has never wavered. I was an English major in college, grateful for a class load that required lots of reading and writing.

I self published my first novel in 2012, making it available on Amazon Kindle. A tragic love story, it was called, "well written and complete with a charming cast of family and friends, THIS MOMENT is good for those who enjoy love stories that go further..." Kindle Book Review.

The Co-Co hosted a series of online conversations this year featuring expert advisers from our community. Panelists collaborated to create welcoming co-learning spaces where they shared knowledge and skills transcending lifestyles and industries.

Recordings of these conversations are housed in The Co-Co's member-exclusive Event Library and accessible to members anytime - inspiration and learning on your schedule.

We always knew we had a generous community. When the call was sounded for donations for our Holiday Baskets, we were inundated with members who wanted to participate. Please join us for a morning of cheer, friendship, and fun at our Holiday Coffee, where everyone goes home a winner!

Becoming an immigration attorney was a natural choice for Nicole. Having moved back and forth from the United States to Italy as a child, she relates intimately with the immigrant experience. As a result, she has always been drawn to helping others, fascinated by different languages and learning about different cultures around the world.

It's the season of giving, receiving, connecting, and gathering. Many of us are meeting up with friends for a Friendsgiving party, greeting new friends at holiday events, and connecting with loved ones over the next several weeks. And some of these parties and events just stack up on your "to-do" lists! The Co-Co is a space where you can get through your holiday shopping and knock off items on your list of things to do. It's a space where you can chat with friends over coffee, connect with others to discuss end-of-the-year meetings and events, and a place where you can even hold your holiday parties and team gatherings! Whether it's this season or next, remember The Co-Co is here to support you wherever you are on your journey in life and work!

Gratitude: The State of Being Grateful

It all starts with a simple "Thank you" or "I'm grateful." The power of gratitude in business and our personal lives lies in consistency and sincerity. When practiced daily, the effects can be profound and meaningful. If we, as entrepreneurs, employees, freelancers, non-profits, and those figuring out our next steps want to accomplish our business goals, we should encourage gratitude in our work and practice it daily.

After years of varied corporate positions with prominent American brands, I realized that my passion was taking unloved jewelry pieces that were collecting dust at the back of my jewelry box and breathing new life into them! Soon, my friends and family were asking me to transform their pieces into wearable designs…and before you know it my business “niche” was born!
