Member Spotlight: Meet Andrea Stein
I was born in Brooklyn, raised in Springfield, New Jersey, and now live in Summit -- with stops at Bard College (BA), Cornell University (MA), and Hoboken -- in between. I've spent my professional career as a book publicist, primarily representing authors of non-fiction books, particularly in the business space. However, I have always been a writer -- since childhood. My debut novel, TYPECAST, was released in September 2022.

At the end of the day, we're all looking for connection. To others, to ourselves, and to our work; to feel a sense of purpose or grounding. Maya Angelou is one of the most famous female poets, authors, and civil rights activists of our time. She's one of the many female leaders who not only created connections among people, groups, and races but also embodied undeniable leadership skills.

Recognizing both Black History Month and President's Day, we honor Barack Obama's impact and legacy as the first Black president of the United States.
In 2019, President Obama shared a Black History Month reading list to help Americans "better understand our country's past and our evolving, persistent struggles with race." The list includes:
The Warmth of Other Suns by Isabel Wilkerson
Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption by Bryan Stevenson
The Fire Next Time by James Baldwin

Every February, people in the United States honor the achievements and history of Black Americans. It's a time to intentionally seek out stories of little-known Black History heroines and heroes and a reminder of our obligation to progress on diversity and inclusion.
What have you read, seen, or heard? We're sharing resources and information amongst the community throughout the month and would love to hear from you.

I’m on a mission to transform the world (and future generations) through RADICAL JOY!
But this mission is really two-fold. On a Corporate level, I help organizations learn how they can improve their work culture through the lens of JOY. With this, I deliver corporate trainings/presentations/workshops that I’ve developed to help companies understand how workplace well-being (and JOY!) can cultivate better employee engagement, workplace fulfillment, and drive tangible results that will ultimately help them make more money!
On a personal level though, this JOYrney™ work really revolves around helping individuals understand how they can create more: time, energy, and space for JOY in their life, career, and relationships. So with this, I also offer coaching and consulting services to help guide women in transition navigate their way to “what’s next” with aligned accountability as they reimagine what’s possible!
