My lifelong career in technical writing blended my computer science and writing skills, while my creative streak took me to culinary school and eventually led me to start my Bumbleroot Design handbag sewing, pattern, and teaching business. My side hustles throughout the years have included website design, digital illustration, and ebook editing, so I made it official in 2026 and founded Font and Framework Digital to house all my freelance technical work.

My inaugural service is the First Impression Flash Audit, which offers solo entrepreneurs and small businesses a fresh glimpse at their website from a client’s perspective. I’m very familiar with what it’s like to wear all the hats, including having to update my own site. Looking at your site day in and day out can give you tunnel vision, where you don’t even see all the little changes (or big ones!) that would elevate your site and keep visitors from stepping away. My Flash Audit offers a complete style review and results in a list of updates you can make on your own time. I’m particularly interested in helping you increase website accessibility to meet ADA guidelines so your website can truly be inclusive for everyone.

I have The Co-Co to thank for prompting the idea for my Flash Audit. I facilitate a focus group there that runs a very popular website mastermind twice a year, where we audit each others’ sites. I’m so glad to have noticed The Co-Co while walking around Summit as a new transplant from Massachusetts. It’s been one of most inspiring and uplifting communities I’ve ever encountered, and would want to be a part of it even if I wasn’t building a business (or two) of my own. The Co-Co has so much to offer beyond just a desk away from home, the events alone easily make the membership worth it!
