I moved to Korea (from California) about 10 years ago for a job as a professor. I loved that job: getting to work WITH bright young minds, getting to be in the classroom to teach and learn from them, and the incredible paid time off I had to travel the globe during winter and summer vacations. 4 years into my job as a professor, I got an unexpected invitation to speak in Austria. I started my career in Los Angeles, adapting novels into TV movies for Hallmark, and then editing fiction at Simon & Schuster after moving back to NYC. I always saw myself in more of an editorial role than working as a writer. But in LA I met and became close with actress Cerina Vincent, and we developed an idea for the type of humorous girlfriend-to-girlfriend advice books that were popular back then….

Our story began in 2006. We were relatively new dentists, working as associates at the same dental office in NJ. The two of us had an instant connection and became close friends in addition to colleagues. We were both pregnant, and between our dark hair and big bellies, many patients couldn’t even differentiate between the two of us!

I understand what it’s like to go through difficult times and come out on the other side stronger and with a more empowered mindset. I have lost loved ones to suicide, overcame an eating disorder, and conquered panic attacks and burnout.

To know me is to know I love sharing what I've learned coaching over 5,200 individuals since launching my career coaching practice 11 years ago. My globally-based clients include MBAs, attorneys, CFOs, CEOs and entrepreneurs across a myriad of industries and functions.

Here’s the reader’s digest version of my career. I divide it into a few chapters. Higher education where I had the opportunity to work with high potential student leaders. Corporate consulting around diversity, equity and inclusion. Fundraising for organizations that I was passionate about. And non-profit leadership.

The Co-Co is all about connecting members and fostering relationships. Three Co-Co members recently pooled their professional passion to support girls' education globally and inspire women locally at the virtual Breakthrough Breakfast hosted by the Room to Read NJ Chapter on October 9th. The breakfast is an author event hosted by the Room to Read Chapter in early October to recognize International Day of the Girl.

I was born bossy, sassy, smart and in deep touch with my feelings, which showed up as pure energy flowing through my body. These characteristics in a 4 year old during the time I was growing up were not always understood, welcomed or nourished. Over the past 24 years of my life I’ve been on a super fun, bumpy, hard, and, treacherous at times journey of true self-discovery, self-connection and self-love. I believe firmly we cannot give what we don’t have.

Today I describe myself as a bold, courageous, resilient, imperfect, loving woman.
