I’m an olive oil sommelier and certified professional taster. My work brings together artisan food, culinary education, and design. With Italian and Eastern European roots, I developed an early appreciation for seasonal cooking and fresh ingredients through family meals centered on produce from our family organic farm.

After beginning my career in design and specialty food marketing, I founded Staging Grace, working with different media outlets. Following extensive culinary work travel in Europe, I was drawn more deeply into Italian Food Culture, ultimately specializing in high-quality single estate extra virgin olive oil. I hold professional tasting certifications from ONAOO, EVOOschool, Savantes, and The Olive Oil Times Education Lab.

Today, through Susan Julia Olive Oil, I’m passionate about educating consumers, chefs, and health professionals on how to taste, select, and cook with truly high-quality, healthy, extra virgin olive oil- bringing clarity, integrity, and appreciation to this essential ingredient.

I learned about the Co-Co from member Nicole Alexander. After reviewing the website, I recognized this might be a very good fit for me as a Summit resident and solopreneur, very much a creative in need of a network and support system. The tour of the Co-Co space, community, and workshops offered confirmed my desire to join.
